Costes chair by philippe starck in very good condition. In 1981, philippe starck met jean-louis costes from aveyron, after he had already designed the sets for la main bleue and bains douches. For café costes, he imagined a modern cathedral decor, "beautiful and sad like the café at the prague train station", with an imposing staircase and memorable toilets. He also created the costes chair, a tripod in curved plywood with a hole to grab it, mounted on tubular steel legs. Unlike arne jacobsen's fourmi chair, its single rear leg makes it easier for waiters to move around.
