Antique vintage "indian wedding box, " Rajasthan, 19th century. Wedding chest in the shape of wooden hunting and fittings, light brown patina. Chest traditionally offered at wedding ceremonies. The bride placed her jewellery and personal belongings there. A small door is placed in the center of one of the sloping sides. A rosette decoration adorns the walls of the trunk. Mounted on four small campaniform feet. Northwest india (rajasthan), late 19th century. Lacks the fitting to close with padlocks, cracks. See photos for a better description.
