Superb large bas-relief in gilded painted plaster after Maurice Picaud, known as "pico" (1900-1977) "la danse" or "serpentine dancer", after the façade of the Follies Bergères", circa 1930. Superb and faithful reduction of the pediment of the Folies Bergères. The dancer who served as a model is Lila Nikolska. Presence of A SOLID METAL CLIP BEHIND which allows it to be hung on the wall too... An emblematic work of French art deco!
