Footed dish or compotier with checkerboard decoration by Creil Montereau

A creil montereau checkerboard footed dish or compotier from the early 1900s. This dish is made of glazed ceramic and decorated on the rim with a dark blue checkerboard pattern (also known as damier or lustucru) with stylized candelabra on a white background. The underside of the plate is stamped with the creil montereau maker's mark. Chip on the underside of the foot but not visible on the outside. Browning (see photo).
