Westnofa The Panter leather lounge chair by Arnt Lande, 1970s

This exceptional "Panther" armchair is one of the flagship models of the Norwegian manufacturer Westnofa. In excellent condition, it is upholstered in supple, high-quality brown leather. Its curved, bentwood frame shows slight signs of wear. The armchair's reclining position is secured by a locking mechanism that acts as a brake. The armchair's padding is provided by thick, adjustable leather straps that connect the armrests to the seat frame. The Norwegian furniture manufacturer Westnofa collaborated with several renowned designers, including Arnt Lande and Ingmar Relling, and is known for its many iconic designs from the 1960s and 1970s.
