The brutalist copper "moonlight" table lamp, designed by finnish sculptor aimo tukiainen in the late 1960s, is distinguished by its molten copper body resting on blackened wooden legs. This lamp diffuses a subtle atmospheric light and is an eye-catcher, even when switched off. Aimo tukiainen (1917-1996) was a renowned finnish sculptor, most famous for his equestrian statue of marshal mannerheim in helsinki. His influence was central in the finnish art world of the 20th century.
