Storvik Rattan armchair by Carl Öjerstam for Ikea, 2001

This expansive rattan lounge chair with its organic and absolutely timeless lines comes in excellent condition. The rattan weave was stretched over a solid bamboo frame and shows minimal breaks or defects. The design of the chair with the high headrest allows for extremely comfortable sitting or lying. With the honey-colored tone of the rattan, it blends into almost any environment. The armchair was designed by swedish designer carl öjerstam in 2001 and produced in a limited edition between 2001 and 2005. In 2002 it received the red dot award. A classic that will develop in a similar way to other old ikea pieces in smaller editions.
