This armchair model Ruster was designed in 1960s by Swedish top designer Yngve Ekstron for Swedese. The armchair was part of the Mingo series and the model with the low back was called ladies model. The frame of the armchair is made from solid oak and has been professionally and carefully restored by removing old coatings, staining and finishing with varnish. The seat and backrest have been re-upholstered with beige upholstery. The upholstery sponge was also replaced. And. A chair designed by Svend Åge Eriksen and manufactured by Glostrup Møbelfabrik in the 1960s represents the principles of Danish mid-century modern design, where clarity of form and functional construction were key. This model belongs to a group of Eriksen’s chairs and lounge chairs characterized by a light, open structure. The shaped armrests and slightly reclined backrest provide a comfortable and natural seating position. The frame, as seen in the photo, is made of solid teak wood—a material widely used in Danish furniture of the period due to its durability and stability. The chair is in very good original condition. The wooden components show signs of age and use, including minor scratches. The seat and backrest are upholstered in original beige wool.
