This superb small Persian Malayer rug is an authentic piece, entirely handcrafted according to ancestral know-how passed down through generations. Dating from around 1940, it perfectly illustrates the great artisanal tradition of the Malayer region, renowned for the durability of its rugs and the richness of their decorative compositions. The central field is dominated by a large finely drawn floral medallion, harmoniously integrated into a red-orange background. The richly adorned borders and the warm colour palette give the whole a remarkable visual balance and a strong decorative presence.
