The Object: This is an authentic 19th-century chest of drawers (solid wood structure, dovetail joints), not a recent reproduction. The Finish: "Marshmallow" pink paint (powdered pink), velvety finish. The Ornamentation: The original bronzes and architectural details (columns, capitals) have been enhanced with genuine 24-carat gold leaf. The Top: [Original Marble] The Decor Tip: Ideal in a dark entrance to bring in light, or in a "chic" children's room for an offbeat royal touch. It also matches very well with polished concrete flooring or herringbone parquet. Condition: Excellent overall condition. Complete restoration (structure checked, drawers sliding perfectly). New paint and gilding finish (out of the workshop).
