A very pretty vintage ironstone plate by Edouard Charbonnier from the Salins pottery, Bristol model. Stamped "Salins E.C." (for Edouard Charbonnier) followed by the mention "terre de fer", it features a magnificent cobalt blue decoration composed of floral bouquets in medallions and friezes of flowers and foliage on an ivory earthenware background. The Bristol model from the Salins pottery was produced under the direction of Edouard Charbonnier, who took over the factory in 1912. Although the exact launch date of the Bristol model is not specified, it is likely that it was introduced between 1912 and 1936, a period during which the factory was under the direction of Edouard Charbonnier. In good condition, quite shiny, with some micro scratches from use and a tiny, barely visible chip on the edge. Diameter: 24 cm.
