Vintage coupe in Depression Glass (Rosaline Glass)

Magnificent antique decorative bowl in pink glass, adorned with a rich geometric design featuring radiant stars, relief patterns, and an elegant scalloped edge. Its oval shape and wavy walls give it a particularly original silhouette. The central decoration, highly detailed, plays with light and reflections to create stunning depth effects. A remarkable feature: its optical illusion: Some photographs give the impression that the bowl is upside down and photographed from below, whereas it is indeed presented the right way up and photographed from above. This effect is created by the arrangement of the patterns and the refraction of light through the glass. Under ultraviolet light, the glass reveals a spectacular pink-red fluorescence, a characteristic that can be associated with the presence of selenium in its composition. A charming decorative piece, ideal for an antique glass collection, vintage decor, or for enthusiasts of fluorescent glass. 22.5x13x13 cm. Shows some minor scratches due to age.
