Daybed imagined for Le Corbusier, a rest bed with a sleek and functional design. With its chrome steel structure and wooden frame, it is an iconic piece. This sofa is still produced by the company EMBRU - model ROTH Model 455. It was designed by MATRA for Embru. This is a vintage version but 100% functional. I am selling only the structure - not the mattress or cushions. This structure is sold new today for €1800 on ambiante [URL masked for your safety]. Daybed / Rest bed Inspired by: Le Corbusier Chrome steel and wood Features: Tubular steel structure, wooden frame, resting strap Style: Modernist / Bauhaus The Roth Model 455 daybed was designed by Alfred Roth for the Embru brand. Imagined in 1927 to furnish Le Corbusier's houses in the Weissenhof estate in Stuttgart, this thoughtfully designed piece is instantly recognisable thanks to its style reminiscent of Bauhaus creations. In reinterpretation of the classic daybed with a more functionalist approach, it aims to reinvent living space. The Roth Model 455 daybed consists of a steel frame, incorporating a slatted base and an adjustable headboard. It has two sled feet made of chrome steel resting on shell pads for added stability. Ideal for a well-deserved rest in the middle of the day, the Roth Model 455 daybed also fits well in a guest room as an extra bed, in a living room as a bench, or in an office at the foot of a bookshelf. Standing 50 cm high, the Roth Model 455 daybed measures 205 cm long and 92 cm wide. It has a net weight of 32 kg. Please feel free to contact me for more information or photos.
