Old wooden rice or tea basket

Old wooden rice or tea basket. Handmade, probably from the early twentieth century, this basket sports a very beautiful patina. Native to asia, a region where rice or tea is grown. Traditionally these baskets were transported on the back of a man for the transport of rice or tea leaves. The basket with its handle is 67 cm high, 39 cm without the handle and 45 cm side. It can be used as a log basket, toy box, planter or other.
