Stockmann Orno suspension in acrylic

Born in 1937, Heikki Turunen was one of the pioneers of Finnish lighting design, who worked as chief designer at Stockmann-Orno for 38 years. At Thorn Lighting Oy, he was also a designer responsible for product development and visual image. Turunen's fixtures could be characterized by the harmony of colour and shape, not to mention lighting technology. The most well-known models of Turunen are Reflex, Siluette, La Boheme, Valio etc., In 1993, his Avanti fixture even lit up the official residence of the French president at the Élysée Palace. This pretty modern and minimal suspension was designed in the same period of the series "La Boheme" where he worked a lot with acrylic.
