In the 1980s, Ettore Sottsass and Verner Panton were among the designers invited by IKEA to refresh its image through accessible yet highly distinctive pieces. The “Bor” model (ref. V9419) is part of this pivotal period where industrial design interacts with postmodern codes while remaining functional and economical. These wall lights reflect this approach: a simple geometry (cone + spherical base), a minimal formal gesture that is immediately recognisable, and a signature detail, the small side handle, allowing the light source to be directed. A formal vocabulary at the intersection of Scandinavian functionalism and the Memphis spirit. Description: Set of 2 wall lights model “Bor”, in nickel-finished metal.
