Very beautiful and large blown glass vase in Alexandrite, Italian production from the Empoli workshops, vintage work from the 1960s-1970s. Model with a generous body and flared, scalloped neck, entirely textured with geometric reliefs offering superb light effects, slightly twisted at the neck. The glass is called "Alexandrite" due to its changing hue from purple to blue under artificial light, and from mauve to pink in natural light, like the gemstone of the same name that possesses this same property of changing colour according to the lighting. Beautiful quality with the presence of fine bubbles in the mass, typical of blown work. Rare model in vase format, which is usually found in the form of a carafe. Height 29 cm, maximum diameter 18 cm. Very good overall condition, only a few rare and discreet micro-scratches from use. Approximately 1kg.
