English biscuit tin in porcelain and silver-plated metal. Circa 1900. Dimensions: Height: 17 cm (to the lid). Base diameter: 14.5 cm. The designs are raised, as they are hand-painted. Two different motifs are featured. There are no flaws on or in the porcelain, and a slight patina on the gilding at the base. The interior is immaculate. There is a mark on the lid and some minor marks around the rim. A very beautiful piece. Found in Geneva. Carefully packaged for shipping.
