This handwoven rug, measuring 100 × 200 cm, is made from pure natural wool using traditional techniques from the Midelt region in the Atlas Mountains. The design is built around geometric blocks: a powder pink centre is flanked by sage green and deep forest green, with two fine horizontal burgundy lines adding rhythm. Wide vertical stripes in black and ivory create a graphic border, giving the composition an almost Art Deco structure. The velvet is thick and matte with a slightly fluffy and soft texture. The hand-knotted natural wool fringes highlight the craftsmanship and authenticity. The shape of the rug links Berber tradition with mid-century abstraction. The intersecting colour planes and strict geometry evoke a dialogue between heritage and modernity.
