Tall sculptural fiberglass lamp, France, 1970s

A tall, striking sculptural lamp from 1970s France, shaped as a tall open oval that frames the light at its heart. Made from fiberglass with a hand-finished marble-like surface in soft greys, cream and smoky tones, it reads more like a stone sculpture than a lamp, even when switched off. Lit, the bulb glows inside the ring and casts a warm light across the inner curve, bringing out the depth of the marbled finish. Placed on the floor beside a lounge chair or on a low sideboard, it becomes the focal point of the room. Details. Origin: France, 1970s. Material: fiberglass with marbled finish. Electrics: fully rewired, E27 socket, tested and in perfect working order. Condition: excellent.
