A Danish classic mid century modernist brass chandelier pendent by Lyfa and with hand blown opaline glass shades. Age related wear and patina to the brass surfaces. The chandelier has been dismantled all parts cleaned and not polished. Rewired and with the possibility to be grounded at the hanging hook in the gallery. A/S Kjøbenhavns Lampe- og Lysekronefabrik was founded in 1903 and was transformed into a limited company in 1904. The company began at Store Kongensgade 63, but from 1929 was located at Blankavej 32 in Valby. In 1910, Gustav Budde-Lund is mentioned as chairman of the board. In the same year, the company won a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Barcelona for its Lyfa lamp, and the factory won again (gold medal) at the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1935 for its Ra lamp.
