Pretty candy verceram, ceramic signed and numbered 4772. Its originality lies in this handle in the shape of a small rooster. Of a deep dark green, it is in good condition even if the golden is faded in places and the rooster has a slight lack of enamel on the head. It most certainly dates from the 50s. Born a second time after the war in montreuil, the verceram factory distinguished itself throughout the next two decades. It became known in the 1950s for utilitarian pieces with innovative curves and decorations. The production is industrialized, the parts are molded and the differentiation is affirmed by the variety of enamels. The most famous are iridescent black and white, red and white, orange and white and to a lesser extent red and brown tobacco. The pieces are carefully glazed and guarantee a very high level of finishes. Le corbusier is credited with a particular attraction for this industrial production of quality vector of this "new spirit" that he called for and for which he worked throughout his life. The factory ceased its activity in 1971. Dimension: h5 X w15 X d15. These objects are second-hand, old, vintage. They may bear some scars from their history and past life.
