Table lamp, Astro model, designed in 1987 by Sidse Werner. This lamp is made of black opaline glass and is a very beautiful and decorative piece. It was the last lamp Sidse Werner designed before her all too early passing in 1989. Sidse Werner (1931–1989) Architect and industrial designer Sidse Werner was known for her designs of furniture, textiles, lamps and glassware. She worked for Holmegaard Glassworks for a number of years and drew inspiration from nature for the many glass designs she created. 1971–79 Fyens glassworks, freelance. 1979–89 Holmegaard glassworks. This lamp was designed by her in 1987 for Royal Copenhagen and produced at Holmegaard glassworks. 13 cm in height (27 cm including ‘stem and socket’), 20 cm in diameter and weighs 800 grams. It is ‘diamond’-shaped. The largest model of the Astro table lamp ever produced. No chips, cracks or other flaws, only natural wear and tear/slight signs of use. A bulb is included with purchase (fits a standard E26/E27 socket) Packed securely and sent with insurance.
