Magnificent antique hotel counter from the 19th century in solid pine, ideal for a shop counter or a central kitchen island. Very high-quality craftsmanship and superb condition for this elegant piece of furniture, which has been thoroughly cleaned. The public-facing side (for customers) is skillfully panelled and features rounded corners on the top. The beautiful work on the side half-columns (four in total), each topped with a fluted cap, is particularly noteworthy. The rounded edges are also panelled and have a stunning effect. On the other side, the counter opens with a lovely central drawer featuring a solid pine pull handle, as well as two side doors, each with a beautiful golden bronze lock entry, a functional lock, and a key for both. Inside, a solid wood shelf provides ample storage space, perfect for plates, dishes, or pots. The central section offers 11 compartments just waiting for bottles of fine wine or other documents.: ) The top is in excellent condition, as is the rest of the furniture, which only shows a few minor signs of wear due to age.
