Deetjen cutlery set 48 silver-plated Louis XV rocaille table cutlery no. 25 Marly

This superb 48-piece silver-plated cutlery set comes from the SPRINGER silversmiths in Alsace. This cutlery set includes 12 table knives, 12 soup spoons, 12 table forks, and 12 dessert/coffee spoons. Decorated with rocaille motifs, it is the Louis XV model no. 25 or Marly. SPRINGER Louis is an Alsatian silversmiths renowned since the 19th century. The silver plating quality is excellent: the spoons and forks are marked 120 for the weight of silver used to silver the cutlery. This cutlery bears the SPRINGER hallmarks. The knives all have the same handle, but some blades are marked DEETJEN. The blades are stainless steel. In very good overall condition, they show traces of oxidation and scratches from use.
