Mid century oak sideboard, model DE02, designed by Cees Braakman and produced by Pastoe, 1950s Netherlands. This model was a first step towards modern furniture including the birch series of cabinets. In this design, executed in oak veneer, the famous anti-dust drawers were used for the first time. Behind the two doors is a beautiful storage space with 1 shelf. The sideboard is from the first owner and marked with the Pastoe stamps. Condition: good to very good vintage condition. The sideboard is almost in original condition. The veneer of the second drawer has undergone some minor repairs. A slight color difference is visible, but not disturbing. There are a number of light scratches on the top (traces of use). The left leg has slight moisture damage to the veneer on the inside. The veneer is a bit bumpy here. Does not affect the overall appearance of the cabinet. As indicated, some traces of use, which actually only enhance the character of the cabinet.
