Hand carved oak crucifix or corpus Christi, Belgium ca. 1900

Belgium / 1900 / crucifix / oak / Religious / Antique. Very detailed antique French wood carved Christ statue, hand-made in France around 1900. In good overall condition but missing some parts of the fingers. A beautiful piece to both spiritual people and collectors of religious art. This detailed statue has the head bent over the right shoulder, framed by waving locks of hair. Open V-shaped arms with apparent vein network. A perizonium draped around the hips, parallel legs and juxtaposed feet. Ref. 25-0299.
