'Lucania' chair by Giancarlo De Carlo for Arflex, Italy 1950

The Lucania chair, designed by Giancarlo De Carlo for Arflex in the 1950s, is a beautiful example of post-war Italian modernism. Its essential structure and compact proportions are softened by the cushions, creating a balance between formal rigor and comfort. Fully reupholstered, the cushions now allow for daily use while respecting the original configuration of the chair. Its size makes it suitable both around a dining table and as an individual seat in a living room or bedroom. An original piece of Italian design from the 1950s, interesting for its understated design, proportions, and authenticity. Shipping is handled by carriers specialised in vintage furniture, with professional packaging. Each piece is carefully prepared to ensure secure delivery.
