Round dish 32.5 cm Gournay signed M. Goupy for MAISON ROUARD

Circa 1925, round serving dish in white enameled earthenware with polychrome decoration of a basket of grapes and apples, magpies and garnet friezes with bunches of black grapes around the edge. In the center, the red basket containing the fruits and the magpies which peck at the grapes. The dish is art deco, in good condition but there is a chip under the edge of the dish. This is rarely seen but it is visible in the photos. Inscriptions on the back, gounay, géo (for georges) rouard, 34 avenue de l'opéra, paris and signed m. (for marcel) goupy (1886-1954) ceramist, decorative arts. Its dimensions are 32.5 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm in height.
