Metal and wood bedside lamp

This adorable bedside lamp is original in several ways: firstly by its size: the base is not very big, but above all it is topped with a lampshade that looks almost miniature, but what is surprising is that the whole thing complements each other well, it highlights the base. The base is also quite surprising: in silver metal, set with a turned wooden piece. And this lamp also has an adorable bakelite switch. The whole thing probably dates from the first half of the 20th century. I tested it, it works, it is designed for a bayonet bulb. But obviously, it does not hide its age. It has small marks and stains on the metal. Under the base, the plate has superficial corrosion (i can attach some self-adhesive pads to prevent this part from touching a piece of furniture, in fact, if the room is damp, the corroded metal could stain). The wiring is faded, there are still some stains despite a good cleaning. The lampshade is also faded, it has stains especially at the level of the fringe braids that I did not dare to clean, and at the top, the paper that hides the metal frame is damaged in places. As you can see, the ideal would be to give a new lease of life to this cute lamp by replacing the cover of the lampshade but keeping the structure because it is this format of lampshade that gives all its charm to this lamp it seems to me. The base measures 17 cm in height including the socket and 12 cm in diameter at the base. The lampshade measures 15 cm in diameter at the bottom and 13 cm at the top, and a height of 8 cm. The entire lamp measures 22 cm in height. The cable measures approximately 190 cm in length.
