1930s Czechoslovak Art Deco Brass and Opaline Glass Chandelier

Striking Art Deco chandelier from 1930s Czechoslovakia, crafted from polished brass and fitted with three spherical white opaline glass shades. The chandelier displays the sophisticated decorative vocabulary of Central European Art Deco, with a strongly architectural central body composed of tiered and fluted brass elements. Three gracefully curved tubular arms extend from the center, each supporting a large opaline glass globe. The combination of polished golden brass and softly illuminated white glass creates a particularly elegant contrast. Decorative scalloped edges, vertical fluting and geometric detailing give the fixture a rich sculptural presence while retaining the balanced symmetry characteristic of the period. The original glass shades are marked “REALIT.” The chandelier has been carefully refurbished while retaining its original vintage character. The electrical system has been renewed and uses three E26/E27 sockets, making the fixture compatible with US bulbs.
