LCW Armchair in American Walnut by Charles & Ray Eames for Herman Miller, 1950s Produced by Herman Miller between 1952 and 1958 (production of the LCW was stopped in 1958 until its reintroduction in 1994). Original condition and finish, never restored! It's getting harder and harder to find vintage LCWs these days, even more so unrestored ones. It has a few small dents and scratches and 2 small touch-ups to the veneer (one on the backrest and a very small one on the seat). The original owner sold the chair because a painting fell off the wall onto the LCW and caused this minor damage! The LCW has its original screws and the Herman Miller label. Even the shock-mounts, including the one on the backrest which generally always needs to be replaced, are the originals. The chair has a very beautiful patina and it would be a shame to restore it. A collector's item.
