Five-panel folding rattan screen with an openwork structure featuring geometric motifs and exposed bindings. Scandinavian production, 1960s. Five tall, narrow panels form the folding screen, each built around a structure of curved rattan that creates a vertical sequence of large diamond-shaped forms. Within these frames, slender straight canes are arranged diagonally and parallel to one another, filling the alternating sections without closing off the openwork design. The curved rattan defines the overall composition, while the finer elements emphasize its geometry. Exposed bindings secure the different elements at their intersections, highlighting the handcrafted nature of the construction. The five modules each measure 50 cm in width, for an overall length of 250 cm, and are connected by leather straps that allow the screen to be freely articulated. Scandinavian production, 1960s. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG353
