Display cabinet with two doors from the Louis XVI period, made of solid fir covered with a marquetry veneer arranged in herringbone (fern pattern). The entire structure, including the uprights, cornices, and central fluted columns, is enhanced with brass fillets and mouldings. The two glazed doors feature slightly arched upper sections, typical of the late 18th to early 19th century. The period lock is functional and comes with its original key; an internal bolt with a multiple latch is also present. The interior, made of untreated raw fir, reveals three shelves and a back made of solid boards, attesting to an authentic old construction. The piece rests on bracket feet, characteristic of the Transition/Louis XVI style, with a moulded base featuring a brass fillet. The overall condition shows consistent period wear: minor chipping of the veneer, oxidation of the brass, scratches on the back, without major structural alteration. Some cosmetic restorations are to be expected; interventions are possible in the workshop. Dimensions: H. 194 cm – W. 140 cm – Estimated weight: 80 kg. Delivery in France: €350 – Europe: €850.
