Dorothe van agthoven was born in 1950. She studied at the gerrit rietveld academie in amsterdam from 1983 to 1987, teaching jan van der vaart. Since her graduation, dorothe has been a designer at the flora factory in hardenberg and since 1990 also at benelux design in amsterdam. The starting point for her industrial designs is always her free work. These are autonomous objects built by hand, which are characterized by a strict business design. Her use of colour is limited to white, black, grey and blue. She often combines her ceramic forms with other materials such as glass and metal. Height 26 cm.
