Kokeshi doll - by master kuribayashi issetsu (1924-2011) Circa 1970 - japan - wear to the body, shock on the top of the head (see photo) - signature. Height 26 - body diameter 7 - head diameter 9.5 cm. Originally from yonezawa, kuribayashi is considered one of the founding fathers of the sosaku-creative movement (modern kokeshis doll). Her dolls have won many awards. He began his career in 1955 and is presented at the nuremberg toy museum. He used several types of wood, playing with natural colors, and sometimes painting highlights. The eyes express humility, a small red spot signals the nose.
