Set of twelve antique ironstone plates from the late 19th to the first half of the 20th century, brought together around a refined palette blending deep navy blue and rich red, alternating between graphic geometric patterns and stylised flowers. These plates come from major French and English manufacturers, selected for their visual harmony and natural dialogue when gathered on the table: Hamage Moulin des Loups, VF Paris, K&G Lunéville, Digoin Sarreguemines, Saint-Amand, HBCM Montereau, Sarreguemines, Saint-Amandinoise, and one piece of English ironstone from Staffordshire. Varied sizes and shapes: one footed plate, three dessert plates, five dinner plates, two large dinner plates, and one very flared bowl; two dessert plates are identical. The set creates a sophisticated table where the deep blues structure the ensemble while the reds bring warmth and rhythm, creating a deliberately mismatched yet perfectly balanced visual effect. Each plate retains its identity while contributing to a common aesthetic. Overall in good vintage condition. Signs of use (micro-scratches, slight marks) and patina of time visible on some pieces, especially on the footed plate which also has a hairline crack, consistent with the age and use of ironstone, five chips underneath the St Amand Thalie model bowl. Diameter: 3 at 19 cm, 2 at 20.5 cm, 3 at 22 cm, 1 at 23 cm, 1 at 24 cm, and 2 at 25 cm. Height of footed plate 5 cm. Masterful mix and authenticity: this set fits perfectly into the world of guest houses and elegant convivial tables.
