Original and fascinating bronze lamp with a Tiffany-style shade, originating from Austria, from the mid or second half of the 20th century. The base is in a late Rococo or eclectic style, with decorations of acanthus leaves and floral relief motifs, providing physical and visual stability to the structure. The main part features a female figure made of bronze, possibly a ballet dancer or an "ingenue" in a short ruffled skirt. The dynamic posture, with one foot on pointe, adds visual lightness to the ensemble. The shade is undoubtedly the most striking element. It follows the favrile or "copper foil" technique popularized by Tiffany. It is a geometric shade in the shape of a truncated inverted pyramid. The bottom has opalescent white glass, crowned by an upper border with sinuous shapes in amber and ochre tones. The use of "cabochons" or blown glass gems in ruby red adds relief and intense points of light. In very good condition. Dimensions: 32 cm and 13 cm. This is a magnificent collectible piece that will stand out in any room of your home.
