Pair of turned wooden corner chairs from the 1950s. France, made of beech. These two seats illustrate the post-war return of "ball" models inherited from the 17th century (Louis XIII tradition), reinterpreted in a neo-rustic and warm spirit. In the style of the artisanal reissues of the time, they combine a structure with beaded uprights, turned crossbars, and woven straw seats, robust and comfortable. The corner format allows them to be placed against a wall, to frame a fireplace, or, when together, to form a charming tête-à-tête. Beautiful honey patina, regular turning, tight weaving: a decorative and practical duo, ideal for an entrance, a living room, or a chic country house.
