Shallow dish on pedestal made of ironstone from the Creil and Montereau factory, Iris model, adorned with an elegant floral design printed in a deep green on a white background. In the centre, a large iris flower gracefully unfolds its petals, surrounded by vegetal scrolls and a sinuous border inspired by Art Nouveau that extends to the base. The shape is particularly harmonious, with a wide, shallow basin resting on a flared pedestal. This piece could be used as a fruit bowl, pastry display, or simply as a decorative element. Stamped Creil and Montereau: the stamp indicates the Iris model and helps date the piece to around 1900. In beautiful vintage condition, with a uniform old glaze crackle, some signs of use consistent with age, very small chips on the edge and a chip underneath (see photos). Diameter 23 cm, height 10 cm, base diameter 11 cm. An antique piece whose graphic presence is enough to define a decor.
