Superb and rare diabolo-shaped / flared corolla art ceramic vase by Jean Gerbino (1891-1966) from Vallauris. Remarkable work according to the famous patented technique of mixed clays. This piece stands out for its uncommon elongated shape as well as its very elaborate central decoration featuring floral motifs (rosettes / daisies) surrounded by turquoise, terracotta, blue, and black geometric friezes. Double incised signature perfectly legible under the neck and base: "VALLAURIS" and "GERBINO". Dimensions: Height: 15 cm. Diameter at the neck: 12 cm. Diameter at the base: 9 cm.
