Thun enamel plate signed Schoch-Läderach, antique Swiss handmade & rare.

Sublime, rare large round plate from Swiss pottery, Thun enamels, antique 1878 - 1890, signed/stamped Schoch-Läderach. Made of terracotta, incised with stylised floral patterns and friezes of geometric motifs, glazed in an extremely pale white/yellow background, with dark green, dark orange-red, yellow, and dark blue tones. Superb handcrafted production. 31cm in diameter, 2cm in height, slightly hollow in the centre. Very good overall condition despite its age, with some signs of wear, including a number of relatively discreet chips/losses of glaze, two small losses of glaze in the centre, one a bit visible as the tip of a green leaf, the other a smaller discreet white one on the beige background. Glaze cracked with age, harmonious overall. Weighs approximately 1kg.
