Vintage mid-century storage unit on tapered legs, circa 1960. The unit is made of wood with a golden oak veneer finish; the two doors also feature oak veneer showcasing a beautiful flame-grain pattern. It was designed by Gillard Bourdin, a cabinetmaker from Périgord. The doors are fully functional and retain their original diagonal handles, combining brass and Bakelite, in a style typical of the era. The interior is clean, showing only slight signs of use, and offers ample storage space. The left side has two removable shelves, while the right side has one (see photos). The whole unit is in very good original condition; it shows very light marks and signs of age or normal use, as well as a natural patina across the entire structure: top (see photo & side with a one-cent coin for perspective), doors, side panels, legs, hardware, and shelves (see photos). There are very light superficial scratches on the top, as well as small signs of use on the rear left corner of the side panel (see photos including a one-cent coin for scale). The manufacturer's signature is visible on the back of the unit (see photo). An aesthetically pleasing and practical piece that will fit perfectly into any contemporary, "Mid-Century Modern, " rustic, or vintage interior, whether in a kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining room, bathroom, etc. All photos were taken in natural outdoor light; colours may therefore vary depending on lighting, reflections from surrounding stone, as well as angles and perspective. Additional dimensions: Height of the top: 77.5 cm. 3 removable shelves (2 on the left and 1 on the right): L 42 cm X D 34 cm. Space above, between, and below the left shelves: Approximately 20 cm. Space above: 40 cm.
