Nautisport oar paddles

This very pretty pair of wooden paddles can probably still be used on the water, they seem functional to me (but I am not a water sports specialist; ).But they will also make a very nice decorative set to give a "vintage sport" touch to your interior or to the decoration of a business (bar, sports store, gym, etc.). They are made of light wood, with a line of red paint at the end. The end of each is set with a golden metal sleeve nicely patinated by the years (brass I think) which allows them to be assembled. I think they are from the Nautisport brand, they would date from the 50s to 70s. They are in good general condition, solid, the assembly of the two is done without too much force. But obviously they do not hide their age and have the patina of time and signs of use: small stains, small scratches and abrasions, significant losses on the red paint, small chips of wood or losses on the ends of the blades, absence of varnish in places (perhaps they should be re-varnished especially if you intend to use them in water, to protect them for many more years), a little blue corrosion on the metal (which will go away easily if you wish to restore its "shine", its shine (and therefore remove the patina) to the gilded brass parts, by rubbing them with fine steel wool. One measures 130 cm in length, the other 124 cm in length. The width of the blades is 17 cm, the length of the blades is 44 cm.
