Here is an elegant magazine rack with a geometric, gold-tone metal frame and a pocket, as well as a black faux leather handle adorned with a gold-tone metal hallmark (impossible to decipher). Its design is very much in the style of magazine racks and other objects created by the designer Jacques Adnet in the 1950s, with this gold-tone metal covered in black faux leather, but having been unable to find this model anywhere, I won't venture an attribution. It is a good quality item: the faux leather has aged very well, it doesn't crumble, the finish is high-quality, double-layered, back-to-back, with attractive stitching, a matching detail on the handle, and a completely removable pocket attached with snap fasteners. Its attractive design is also functional: very stable thanks to its fairly wide base, and with an unlimited pocket length, it can also be used to store much larger items, such as rolls of fabric or knitting projects with long needles. A lovely piece to add an elegant and modern touch to your home. It likely dates from the 1950s or 60s. It is in good overall condition, sturdy, with the vinyl in good condition, but it does show some signs of age: the gilding is worn in places, revealing the silver underneath, and there are a few scratches and abrasions on the vinyl, mainly on the inside and not very noticeable. It measures 36.5 cm in length, 21 cm in width at the base, and 42 cm in height at the handle.
