Parisian sideboard in raw wood

Once its original varnish has been sanded down to almost 98%, this old Parisian sideboard from the 1960s will probably seduce you as much as it conquered us... The restored pallor of its raw wood from its manufacturing period, and the nuances of the different light browns of the life lines of its wood, mixed with its numerous stigmata and scars from its previous lives and its great age, could make you fall in love... The door frame moldings are still in a very good state of preservation. Some lines of its old varnish have deliberately not been completely sanded as if to accentuate certain features which underline this subtle contrast with the rest of its light wood. Its handles were already no longer original. They were changed and come from a hardware store in Liffol-le-Grand (a stronghold of wooden furniture manufacturing in Grand-Est) as well as its lock and all the rest of the interior hardware completely refurbished. Its doors open and close without any problem and its drawers also slide without difficulty. Its top has 2 scars in the length of cracked boards which claim its great age and which in no way affect its robustness. Photos are deliberately taken in close-up to show the pretty defects as well as the charming qualities which illustrate this piece of furniture, I remind you, "second hand". But isn't that the spirit of what we are looking for in this furniture which has already lived.
