Mail holder or just decorative object or vase for dried flowers. Raku ceramic. Signed gf 92. Raku, "happiness in chance". Raku is a technique developed in the 16th century in Japan. It is a rapid firing that allowed the potter to invite his friends, each firing his bowl and immediately inaugurating it for the traditional tea ceremony. This technique was imported to the West in the 1910s, by Bernard Leach.
