Pair of chest benches from Brittany

Pair of handcrafted Breton bench-chests. Hand-carved from oak, they are in a typically Breton style with a rustic and country appearance. A repair was made on one of the arms, visible in the photos. There is evidence of older historical repairs. Both benches are solid. There are signs of former woodworm activity and, although there are no active woodworms, both benches have been treated and repolished.
