Old oil painting on wood

Magnificent small antique painting signed l meyer, in oil on medium, framed. The frame was visibly painted with gold paint without protecting the painting because traces of overflow are visible. The technique used leaves thicknesses of paint which give changing reflections and character to the painting. The colors are vivid and well preserved. Frame dimensions 20x15cmx1.5cm - painting 17x12cm.
