Two mohair kilims

Set of two superb Turkish striped mohair rugs: one black with beige stripes, the other beige with black stripes. Thick goat hair (mohair) is used on the top and back of the kelim. Hand woven. Back of the rug hand-knotted with goat thread. Once finished, the goat feathers are sewn onto the kelim one by one. These kelims are completely natural. The colors are the natural color of goat hair (no chemicals are used). Mohair is considered a luxury fiber; it is also one of the best hypoallergenic carpet solutions for allergy sufferers. Hand-woven goat hair kelims are also used as blankets in the village of siirt. Can be used as a bedspread or sofa throw. These vintage rugs are in very good condition, no holes, rips or tears; professionally cleaned. Never used on the ground. Measurements: Beige rug 149cm X 80cm. Black rug 135cm x 80cm.
